To assist members, the Group of 100 (G100) earlier this year launched several webcast series dealing with issues impacting companies and finance professionals, tackling issues ranging from company reporting during the pandemic, ASIC expectations, cyber-security through to the future of the finance profession.

This year the G100 held seven webcasts, each bringing critical information from leading organisations, government and regulators to its members, with one more planned to take place before the year-end.

The G100 initiative was well received, and so far, the webcasts were attended by more than 440 member companies employees. The G100 will continue to hold webcast in 2021; the webcast schedule for next year will be announced in coming weeks.

The first five webinars were not recorded as they were under the Chatham House Rules, however, based on the feedback received from participating members and popular demand, the G100 decided to record selected webinars, two of which are now available for viewing.

The two webcast recordings available are:

1. Payment Times Reporting Framework
The webcast organised by the G100 in collaboration with CA ANZ was held on Tuesday, 2 November 2020. The webinar participants heard from Tegan Johnson, Manager – Payment Times Implementation Team at the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources.

2. Future of the Profession – Digitising Finance
The first online event of the “Future of the Profession” series – the latest G100/PwC collaboration – took place on Tuesday, 10 November 2020. In the session, Vishy Narayanan, PwC’s Chief Digital Officer, and Lisa Fraser, Executive Director and a senior Finance Executive at Macquarie Group, shared great insights on their digital journey and provided perspectives on their learnings.
