The Board of the Group of 100 (G100) held a scheduled meeting on Wednesday 17 June 2020, via video-conference.
The meeting addressed the impacts of COVID-19, the significant tasks the G100 is undertaking, particularly advocacy initiatives, and the opportunities to work closely with stakeholders as states continue to battle the pandemic.
As COVID-19 restrictions ease in some states, the Board decided to resume limited ‘in-person’ events with the first ones taking place in South Australia (refer to the earlier story). The functions will be limited in number and for the foreseeable future and will adhere to strict social distancing policies.
Other issues covered included: the success of the online event series for members; sponsorship opportunities; and adjustments to the planned events such as the Brisbane function, Parliamentary Engagement Day and CFO Live held in association with the Australian Financial Review. The G100 remains committed to these events being held later in the year.
The next board meeting will take place on Thursday, 27 August 2020, via video-conference.
