The Group of 100 (G100) continues to engage with members during these unprecedented times. While we cannot hold our regular member networking events and dinners, we have launched a series of webinars which will bring you the important information on the issues impacting member companies from leading organisations, government and regulators.
The first in the new series of member webinars was titled “Cyber Risk and Regulatory Issues in a COVID-19 environment” and took place Friday, 1 May 2020. For this first webinar, the G100 worked with EY.
The webcast was introduced by Janelle Hopkins, Chair of the G100 and CFO of REA Group. John Price, ASIC Commissioner, Richard Watson, EY’s Asia-Pacific Cybersecurity Leader, and Georgina Crundell, EY Cybersecurity Partner, presented.
Commissioner Price covered essential aspects of audit and reporting in the current challenging environment as well as what is expected from AGMs this year.
EY discussed the latest developments in cybersecurity as they pertain to the COVID-19 pandemic, and how to address the continually changing cyber risks to businesses. During the webcast Richard and Georgina shared perspectives on:
- The latest emerging cyber threats arising from the COVID-19 crisis,
- The practical things organisations can do as protection from cyber attacks in the short term, and
- The role executive leaders play in strengthening the cybersecurity posture of their organisations.
The next scheduled webinar will take place inJune. Further details will be sent to the G100 members via email, in the coming weeks.
