John Price will discuss his impressions of the Royal Commission findings, what ASIC is looking for this reporting season and what regulatory issues developing overseas may impact Australia.
John commenced as an ASIC Commissioner in early 2012 and has extensive experience in regulatory affairs working in a variety of areas including policy development, mergers and acquisitions, financial services and products, licensing, insolvency, financial reporting and audit. He is a member of the Council of Financial Regulators and is the ASIC project sponsor assisting Fintech start-ups, and leads ASIC’s work on cutting red-tape.
John was previously a member of CAMAC and the Financial Reporting Council. Prior to joining ASIC, he worked for Corrs Chambers Westgarth. John has Bachelor degrees in Arts, and in Law.
