Change of Date
Due to the State of Origin being played on Wednesday 17 July, the Group of 100 has changed the date for its next Member's Networking Dinner in Brisbane to Thursday 18 July.
On Thursday 18 July the Group of 100 will hold its next Member’s Networking Dinner in Brisbane. We are delighted to announce that Race Strauss, CFO of Virgin Australia Group will be our guest speaker.
Race will discuss the intriguing world of aviation in Australia and how it is changing; the many hurdles faced running an airline – such as negotiating with airports, the complexity behind cancelled flights, competition, compensation; and the rebuilding of Virgin Australia.
With his CFO hat on, Race will discuss the differences between working for private equity and in listed environments, preparing for a potential IPO, how an airline is approaching the new climate reporting requirements, and the value Virgin brings to Queensland and the rest of the country.
We hope you will be able to attend and bring one of your senior staff (each member is able to bring one member of their team to these dinners); if you are unable to attend, please feel free to send a senior member of your team in your place. The dinner will start with networking drinks at 6.30pm and there will be time after dinner for members to catch up as well.
