We are delighted to announce the launch of the Group of 100’s ‘Sprint Sessions’. This is an ongoing series of short ‘masterclasses and discussion forums’ dealing with topics that are of concern to CFOs or may emerge as issues in the near future.
The sessions will be run periodically in capital cities by our university members for us, the first in this series will be with presented by the University of Melbourne, with the evening hosted for the Group of 100 by our partners Satori Assured. Typically, they will run for two hours after work with light refreshments provided. The first Sprint is titled 'Sustainability Reporting: Opportunities and challenges.'
While we have all been talking about sustainability reporting for some time, the University of Melbourne has been exploring the latest developments and implications for organisations and individuals. The topics to be covered include:
- Climate scenario analysis
-
- What are your reporting obligations and how you know when scenario disclosures are useful for stakeholders
- Connectivity
- How do you connect sustainability and financial disclosures – and why this matters
- Governance and risk
- What makes great governance and how do we understand and manage risk today
