The Group of 100 and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) invite you to participate in a member roundtable with representatives from the ASX and its Corporate Governance Advisory Group (CGAG) on its consultation on the proposed 5th edition of the ASX Corporate Governance Principles and Recommendations.

This roundtable will provide an opportunity to share your views directly with the ASX and CGAG members on the proposed changes, including feedback on the practical implications, and help inform the future direction of the Principles.  The proposed 5th edition represents the first substantive update to the Principles since 2019. 

Key proposals for the 5th Edition include changes relating to:

• corporate reporting and verification processes, including greater transparency around assurance over corporate reporting;
• external auditor disclosures, including auditor and engagement partner tenure and review; and
• risk management recommendations, with a broader focus on the governance and oversight of material risks.

Please note participants will need to have read the consultation materials prior to the roundtable 5th edition of the ASX Corporate Governance Principles and Recommendations. The roundtable will not provide an explanation of the consultation.

This roundtable will be of particular interest to members working in corporate governance, financial reporting, audit and assurance, risk management, listed entities and company secretariat roles.
